Catherine Heather Kitchens, PA-C, recently moved to the Pinehurst area from Georgia, but is an original native of North Carolina. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1992. She then went on to earn her Masters of Medical Science from the Emory University Physician Assistant Program in 1996. Ms. Kitchens first began work in the field of internal medicine and has worked in the dermatology field since 2009. Her primary focus is general dermatology with interests in skin cancer and psoriasis, among others. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), in addition to being certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). When she is not practicing dermatology, she enjoys traveling to national parks and volunteering in the community. She resides in Pinehurst with her husband, Cliff, a cardiothoracic surgeon, along with their three children, Emma, 18, Evelyn, 16, and Will, 12.
