Insurance Information
All patients will be given a complete statement of office services which should be sent, along with your insurance form, to your insurance company.  We will file insurance for extensive surgical procedures; however, all deductibles and co-payments are the patient's financial responsibility, and payment is expected in full at the time of service.  Payment plans may be worked out for patients experiencing financial difficulties.

All patients are requested to bring their insurance cards to each appointment.  Please remember that your insurance coverage is a contract between you and your insurance company.  Responsibility for payment of fees is the direct obligation of each patient.


PPO Affiliations

Currently, we participate in several managed care programs.  These contacts are periodically reviewed and changed; prior to your visit, please check with our staff to see if we are currently participating with you plan.  If required by your plan, please be sure your primary care doctor has forwarded your authorization paperwork by contacting our office prior to your appointment to be sure your visit has been approved by your primary doctor.  Also, you may bring your authorization paperwork with you to your appointment.


Medicare Information
As a Medicare participating provider, we accept assignment of benefits from Medicare.  We file these claims for you and directly accept payment from Medicare.  You are responsible for the unpaid deductible.  You are also expected to cover the 20% balance of the Medicare allowable charge not paid by any secondary insurance or any charges not allowed by Medicare.  For more information contact our staff at Pinehurst Dermatology.  They will be glad to answer any questions and concerns you have.  We hope you will consider Pinehurst Dermatology to provide your dermatological care.  We realize the foundation for any relationship is good communication.
